The children's art classes at Walhalla Art Works are truly unique! Mrs. Imbody uses her background as both a working artist and art teacher to expose the students to cultures, art movements, and materials in a fun and educational way.
Classes are held in Walhalla in an 800 square foot studio dedicated solely to art production and workshops. Students will have everything they need to be comfortable, safe, and relaxed during classes.
Longer sessions for school age children allow for in-depth coverage of a subject and time for students to “warm up” their creative juices! Breaks are offered during which students can get fresh air on our fenced in play ground and a snack.
KID'S SUMMER ART CAMPS 2011

WEEKLY KIDS’ WORKSHOP: Looking for a summer program to fit in with your busy schedule? Have a grandchild or family friend visiting this summer? Kids will spend the day creating, learning and playing. They will be busy with a variety of in depth art projects. Snacks and outdoor breaks will be provided. Please bring sack lunch. (Rising 2nd -8th graders)
$50 for one day, $130 for all 3 days

CREATIVE KIDS’ CAMP: Students will participate in a variety of in-depth lessons including mask making, pottery, painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, weaving and more! Each week explores a unique theme. Mrs. Imbody makes sure that lessons are flexible so that artists of ALL levels of skill will be challenged and have fun! Class sizes are limited so that each student can achieve their personal best. Parents will be amazed at how much their kids learn and grow during these 3 hour art camps. Breaks are offered during which students can get fresh air and a snack in an enclosed play area.

BUDDING ARTISTS CLUB: Young children will have fun and learn to LOVE art in these weekly workshops! Fast-paced and age appropriate, students will explore color, shape, lines, texture, patterns and more through a variety of media including paint, clay, drawing, and sculpture. Adult supervision required.
Camp #1: Mondays in June (13, 20, 27)

MOMMY AND ME PAINTING PARTIES: Bring your little buddy age 3-5 for some messy creative fun! You both will have fun exploring the world of art... and don’t have to worry about the cleanup! (dads, babysitters and grandparents welcome too!)

Classes run 6 Tuesdays for 45 minutes, choose either 4:30 or 5:30 sessions. $45 per class or $120 for advance registration of all 3 classes. Grades K-8
PAINTING: Children will have fun while truly getting to know a material they love. January 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, February 7
CLAY: Children will love playing and exploring this wonderful natural material. They will create, fire, and glaze their own pieces. February 21, 28, March 6, 13, 20, and 27
SCULPTURE: Students will let their inventive imaginations soar during this multimedia class. April 17, 24, May 1, 8, 15, 22
PRIVATE LESSONS
Schedule individual lessons for your child that are convenient to your schedule. Lessons will be planned according to each student’s interests and goals. $35.hr
KID’S SECRET SANTA WORKSHOP
Bring your children to the studio to create a handmade gift for someone special! Presents will be wrapped in packages made by the children and available to pick up December 14th.
